Texas-Ex DeMarvion Overshown switching numbers, will become first Cowboy to wear No. 0

Former Texas Longhorns star and current Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown will be wearing a different jersey number the Fall. Overshown is switching his 2025 jersey number to No. 0, becoming the first player in franchise history to wear it.
Overshown wore No. 35 his rookie year, then switched to No. 13 last year in the NFL. Now, Agent Zero is back on the case.
“As soon as they changed the policy where you can now wear No. 0 in the NFL, I just knew it was meant to be,” Overshown told Patrik Walker of DallasCowboys.com. “Being the first one to wear it at Texas, growing up a Longhorn and a Cowboy in the great state of Texas — I wear it as a badge of honor. It’s not too many people that get to say they’re the first to do anything, and to say I’m the first wear No. 0 at Texas and the first to do it in Dallas Cowboys’ history, that’s a badge of honor.”
Overshown suffered a torn ACL, MCL and PCL in his right knee during the Week 14 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. He missed his entire rookie season after sustaining a torn ACL in his left knee during the preseason.
He made a full recovery for the Cowboys’ defense this last season. He notched 90 tackles (56 solo), eight tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks, one pick six, and a forced fumble. Overshown became the third Cowboy to record at least five sacks, an interception, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble in the same season, joining DeMarcus Ware (2006) and Greg Ellis (1999).
