Texas finishes ranked No. 13 in the final College Football Playoff top-25

The Texas Longhorns were ranked No. 13 in the final College Football Playoff top 25. As a result, the Longhorns did not earn a spot in the 12-team CFP this season.

Other Southeastern Conference teams in the final College Football Playoff top 25 include No. 3 Georgia, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 7 Texas A&M, No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 9 Alabama, and No. 14 Vanderbilt. Ohio State, who the Longhorns lost to in week one of the 2025 season, was ranked No. 2.
