This will be a return trip for Johnson as he visited Texas in April for the Longhorns City Limits event, taking in a practice and meeting with Kenny Baker and other coaches.

“My visit to Texas was really good,” Johnson said to On3’s Steve Wiltfong in April. “I liked how welcoming they were with me and how good the coaches are, but my favorite thing about Texas is how they practice. I know they will be a great team in this upcoming season.”

Johnson has taken official visits to Georgia, Miami, Florida, and Florida State in the months of May and June. He has over 40 offers.

A one-time Syracuse commit, Johnson is ranked as the No. 47 overall prospect, the No. 2 defensive lineman, and the No. 6 player in Florida in the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 ranks Johnson as the No. 15 overall prospect, the No. 1 defensive lineman, and the No. 3 player in Florida.
