Texas jumps into the top 10 in the On3 recruiting rankings

With the addition of five-star Los Angeles (Calif.) Sierra Canyon EDGE Richard Wesley, the Longhorns have jumped to the No. 10 spot in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Wesley, who just completed his official visit to Texas, is the second five-star in the class for the Longhorns, joining quarterback Dia Bell. Wesley is the first five-star committed on the defensive side of the ball.

The Longhorns now boast two five-stars, seven four-stars, and six three-stars in their 2026 class, with three of those three-stars being from the specialists ranks.

Texas’ class is currently No. 4 in the SEC behind No. 2 Texas A&M, No. 5 LSU, and No. 6 Georgia.

Only Ohio State, LSU, and Texas have more than one five-star in their current classes.
