Ohio State remained No. 1 with 58 first-place votes, Indiana remained No. 2 with 7 first-place votes and Texas A&M, which the Horns will face on Friday, got a singular first-place vote at No. 3.

Texas jumped ahead of Georgia Tech, which lost to now No. 24 Pitt this weekend, and USC, which fell to Oregon, who now jumps to No. 5.

The SEC is heavily featured in the top ten. Georgia sits right behind the Aggies at No. 4, having beaten Texas the week prior. Ole Miss drops one spot to No. 6 with Oregon moving above, Oklahoma sits at No. 8 and Alabama sits at No. 10.

The Top 25 also includes Vanderbilt at No. 12 and Tennessee at No. 18. No SEC team is in the 20s, with Missouri just barely finishing unranked.

Michigan, with a win over Maryland, jumped both USC and Georgia Tech, but also the Longhorns in the rankings.

Texas was also ranked as the No. 16 team in the coaches’ poll.
