Texas offensive stars discuss upcoming NFL decisions

Draft eligible Longhorns Xavier Worthy, Quinn Ewers, Adonai Mitchell, and Ja’Tavion Sanders were available to the press on Friday as part of Texas’ media day ahead of the Allstate Sugar Bowl against the Washington Huskies. Each player was asked whether they had made a decision about entering the 2024 NFL Draft.

Here’s what each Longhorn had to say.

WR Xavier Worthy

XAVIER WORTHY: “I haven’t made a decision yet. I feel like I’ll make a decision after the next few games.”

QB Quinn Ewers

Q. Have you made up your mind about coming back?

QUINN EWERS: “Not yet.”

Q. What are you waiting for?

QUINN EWERS: “Just trying to win a national championship right now. Not really thinking about that.”

Q. What will go into that decision?

QUINN EWERS: “I have no idea. I’m just trying to win a national championship.”

WR Adonai Mitchell

Q. Have you decided if you’re going pro yet?

ADONAI MITCHELL: “No sir.”

Q. What goes into that process, trying to decide what to do next?

ADONAI MITCHELL: “Talking with my family, talking with my coaches, and talking with my circle just making sure whatever decision I make is the right decision for me.”

TE Ja’Tavion Sanders

Q. You going pro?

JA’TAVION SANDERS: “That’s a decision I’ll have to make after the season. Hopefully if everything plays out how it’s supposed to be, then God has got me. God’s plan.”

Q. What are the biggest factors in coming back or going pro now?

JA’TAVION SANDERS: “Honestly, how we finish this season. If everything is in God’s plan, hopefully I’ll be able to enter my name in the draft. If not, I guess we’ll see.”
