Texas ranked No. 17 in College Football Playoff rankings, dropping seven spots after Georgia loss

The Texas Longhorns dropped seven spots from No. 10 to No. 17 in the November 18 version of the College Football Playoff rankings.

Texas dropped to 7-3 (4-2 SEC) on Saturday in a loss to No. 4 Georgia. The Longhorns also have losses this season to No. 1 Ohio State and unranked Florida. Texas has wins over No. 8 Oklahoma and No. 14 Vanderbilt.

Southeastern Conference teams to make the top 25 included No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 4 Georgia, No. 6 Ole Miss, No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 10 Alabama, No. 14 Vanderbilt, No. 20 Tennessee, and No. 22 Missouri.

Texas faces Arkansas this Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on ABC. The Longhorns and the Razorbacks will battle at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in the first meeting in Austin between the two teams since 2008. The Longhorns won that battle 52-10.
