The Texas Longhorns rose to the No. 17 spot in the On3 Team Recruiting Rankings after garnering a pledge from Duncanville (Texas) EDGE Five-Star Plus+ Colin Simmons on Thursday.

Texas began the day at No. 18 in the class rankings, but moved one in the rankings with the addition of Simmons.
The Simmons commitment has put Texas in position to vault into the top 10 later in the cycle.
