Texas and Washington will face each other again after last year’s Alamo Bowl. This is the third bowl game between the two programs, including the 2001 Holiday Bowl.

Washington’s offense has been spectacular in 2023. They are 11th in the country with 37.7 points per game. They boast the nation’s leading passer in Michael Penix Jr (4,218 yards) and the second-leading receiver in Rome Odunze (1,428 yards).
