Texas and Georgia have battled in the regular season three times. The Longhorns have even played a road game against the Bulldogs. However, Texas will be making its first ever trip to Athens on November 15.
The only regular season road game the Longhorns have played against Georgia was on September 21, 1957. Texas traveled to Atlanta to play Georgia, but the game was held at Grant Field on the campus of Georgia Tech. The Longhorns won 26-7 thanks to two touchdown runs from Mike Dowdle and single scores from Bobby Lackey and Walter Fondren. The first-year coach of that Texas team? Darrell Royal.
Georgia ventured to Austin the next year to fall 13-8 to the Longhorns.
The only other regular season game between the two programs was last year when the Bulldogs defeated the Longhorns in Austin, 30-15.
