Texas opened the season with a lackluster offensive performance in Arch Manning’s first start as the quarterback in Austin. Here are the grades from the offense, post-Ohio State, per PFF.

OFFENSE

QB – Arch Manning, 76.0

In Manning’s first start as the man in Austin, there was a lot of less desirable outcomes on Saturday. He went 17-of-30 passing, 170 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 38 yards in the loss. Manning still had the third highest grade from the offense yesterday, primarily from his fourth quarter performance.

RB – Tre Wisner, 80.4, CJ Baxter, 64.0

The two-headed tailback combination was part of a rushing attack that accumulated 164 yards at 4.0 ypc. The tailbacks combined for 120 yards on 26 carries and were part of the reason the offense came alive in the second half.

WR – Parker Livingstone, 63.6

The wide receivers had a quiet day on Saturday. Livingstone’s touchdown catch (47 yards on two grabs) was one of the few highlights. Freshman Daylan McCutcheon registered his first CFB catch.

TE – Jack Endries, 77.8

The Cal transfer made a few plays in his Texas debut, with 50 yards on four catches.

OL – Trevor Goosby, 73.8. Cole Huston, 63.2, Neto Umeozulu, 65.6

The Longhorns newly constructed offensive line helped the Horns outgain the Buckeyes 336-203 on Saturday. They also kept the pocket clean for Manning, for the most part.
