The 2023 Under Armour Future50 will take place this weekend in Bradenton, Fla. at IMG Academy.

There are as many as 13 current Texas targets in the 2025 cycle that are scheduled to fly into Bradenton on Friday for the two-day event. The list is headlined by Texas quarterback commitment K.J. Lacey.

The Future50 consists of height and weight checks, agility testing, media training, position work and the chance to compete in a one-on-one setting in a best on best scenario.

Texas quarterback commit K.J. Lacey

The Texas Longhorns’ first commitment of the 2025 class is one of the headliners at the annual event that brings together 50 of the top underclassmen in the country.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder committed to Texas June 3 over Alabama, Tennessee and Ole Miss in what was another huge quarterback recruiting win for Steve Sarkisian. Lacey told Inside Texas Wednesday that he is very likely to be back on campus in Austin the last weekend of July for the Longhorns’ big recruiting event.

Lacey is the No. 80 ranked prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking in the 2025 cycle. Inside Texas took a look at K.J. Lacey’s sensational sophomore season.
