Updated Rivals 300: Two Texas Commits in Five-Star Territory

Rivals released its latest update to the 2026 Rivals 300, including seven new five-star prospects, bringing the total to 21 five-stars in the class. Texas Football continues to make waves on the trail, securing two of those elite prospects while staying in the mix for others.

Leading the way for the Longhorns is quarterback commit Dia Bell, who comes in at No. 21 in the latest rankings. Bell continues to be one of the cornerstone commits of this class, and his rise on the national boards reaffirms his elite status.
Joining Bell in the five-star ranks is Richard Wesley, Texas’ 2026 EDGE commit, now ranked No. 17. Wesley’s combination of twitch, motor, and versatility has made him one of the most coveted pass-rushers in the country. With Wesley’s ranking now confirmed at the highest level, Texas boasts two cornerstone defenders in this class.

But it doesn’t stop there — Texas has its eyes on a few other five-star-caliber prospects who aren’t yet part of the class:
- Zion Elee, a 2026 EDGE from Maryland who is committed to the Terrapins. Elee is one of the top defensive prospects in the country and is someone to watch closely should he make any future visit to Austin.
- Richard Anderson, a standout from Edna Carr High School in Louisiana and current LSU commit, checks in at No. 18. He is set to visit Texas this Saturday when the Longhorns host Arkansas. Any time you can get a top-ranked SEC commit on campus, you keep the door open — and Texas has done exactly that.
With the updated rankings, the Longhorns are positioned to continue building a top-tier class with elite talent on both sides of the ball. Keep an eye out for more movement as the cycle progresses and more visits take place.
