WATCH: New Texas 5-star commit Jonah Williams goes off in his senior year debut

All-everything Galveston (Texas) Ball athlete Jonah Williams is known as a two-sport star thanks to his exploits in both football and baseball, where the lefty throws 93mph when he’s not patrolling center field. But not only is a he two-sport star, he’s a two-way star in football.

Wait, check that.
On the opening kickoff of the season Williams reminds everyone he’s a three-phase player. That wasn’t his only big play on special teams as he also blocked a Manvel extra point attempt.
Not only will Texas safeties coach Blake Gideon and special teams coordinator Jeff Banks wrestle over his talents, so too might wide receivers coach Chris Jackson. The potential to play receiver was part of the pitch from Texas to Williams. Williams has found the end zone twice tonight as a receiver.
I’m reminded of De’Che Milburn, one of the best wide receiver trainers in the state, recently telling me that Williams’ highest upside might actually be as a receiver. Milburn stated Williams is like a combination of A&M receiver Noah Thomas and former A&M receiver Evan Stewart.
