Wednesday Texas Recruiting & Team Q&A: Large decisions await, answering all team questions

For many, the success of the 2026 recruiting class hinges on Texas being able to land long-time priority targets John Turntine and Felix Ojo. I don’t want to say that’s 100% correct, but it’s largely correct. What is 100% correct is offensive tackle is the biggest need in the class and those are two elite instate options. Overall, the instate offensive line class is pretty dang strong, and like in 2022, Texas needs to win more than its share. With both announcing on July 4, Friday is a very big day for this recruiting class.

Team questions include the strongest position from a starter, depth, and recruiting perspective (Edge), the 2026 roster cycle, comparing turnover at Texas and Ohio State, and of course, the ever-changing recruiting landscape.
