One of the top players in the 2026 is Texarkana (Texas) Liberty-Eylau wide receiver Dequane Prevo. Prevo was named as one of the initial top-100 prospects in the sophomore class by On3 recently.

Prevo is the No. 64 overall prospect and No. 11 wide receiver in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 6 player in Texas.

It is still early in Prevo’s recruitment, but he is already feeling good about his recruitment to trim his schools of focus down. Prevo has released his top-13 as his sophomore season gets started.

The schools that made the list are USC, Oregon, Ole Miss, Penn State, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Auburn, Missouri, Texas, Florida State, Houston, and Missouri State.

USC running backs coach Kiel McDonald identified Prevo very early on, sending out his offer in January, before many.

Prevo spoke previously with Inside Texas’ Justin Wells and the young standout mentioned USC was among his early favorites. And Kiel McDonald is already a big reason.

When Prevo was asked who his best relationships were with, his first answer was “the USC coach”, referencing McDonald. Because Prevo is only a 2026 prospect, there is still much development in his recruitment to be seen, but the Trojans have cemented themselves in his mind.

Along with USC, he holds offers from Texas A&M, Texas, Penn State, Missouri, SMU, Texas Tech, Houston, Arkansas, UTSA, Arkansas State, Florida Atlantic, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, UCF, Mississippi State, Missouri State, Florida State, Ole Miss, and Auburn.

On3 NIL Valuations

Prevo has an On3 NIL Valuation of $23K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Prevo shines at OT7 South Regional

The soon-to-be sophomore from East Texas was among the top players on hand at the OT7 South Regional tournament in Round Rock, Texas earlier this spring.

Here’s what On3’s Cody Bellaire wrote about the two-way 2026 recruit:

“When people talk about burners, Dequane Prevo is what those people are talking about. Prevo is the definition of twitched up. His ability to take the top off of the secondary was on full display on Sunday afternoon. Not only could he beat defenders vertically, but he could catch a curl or a hook route on one side of the field and bob and weave his way through the entire defense and walk into the endzone on the other side of the field. His playmaking skills with the ball in his hands was extremely impressive, especially for being one of the younger prospects at the event.”
