One of USC’s top commitments in the 2024 class has received high honors as top-100 cornerback Marcelles Williams has been invited to the All-American Bowl hosted by NBC Sports.

The All-American Bowl is a year-round celebration of high school excellence both on and off the field. As the nation’s premier high school sporting event for 20 years, it features the top 100 senior football players from across the country and is played inside the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. Broadcast annually on NBC, the All-American Bowl is the most-watched and highest-attended high school sporting event.

In last years game, USC signees Quinten Joyner and Walker Lyons were members of the West squad in the prestigious game.

Marcelles Williams is the No. 88 overall prospect and No. 11 cornerback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 10 player in California.

On3 Evaluation of Williams – Cody Bellaire (Scouting and Rankings)

Instinctive, playmaker at the corner position. Has terrific change of direction and burst, fluidity is very apparent when forced to flip his hips. Does an excellent job working in his back pedal and driving back down to the football, closes space very quickly. Ball skills are solid, will get his hands on his fair share of passes but nothing too far out of reach from his frame. Attacks receivers at the catch point and at the line of scrimmage, not afraid to be physical. Comfortable and willing tackler around the box, likes to stick his face into traffic. Top end speed is good, not blistering but he can run with most receivers. Frame is a bit thin but not a big concern. Very high floor player here that projects to field corner, could potentially develop into a boundary corner, but his skillset fits well to the field.

Personal Life (Via On3 Database)

Marcelles Williams has two older brothers, Max and Macen, who played football at USC and Arizona State. Williams first emerged for California football powerhouse Bellflower St. John Bosco as a sophomore when he recorded 42 tackles and seven pass breakups. He then became a lockdown defender for the Braves in 2022 with 46 tackles and four pass breakups. Williams also had a knack for making big plays at key moments, including two interceptions in the CIF Open Division state championship game against San Mateo Serra. He was honored for his big season by being named to the MaxPreps Junior All-American team.
