A new intriguing offer has gone out from Lincoln Riley himself tonight. After watching Folsom take on Pittsburg tonight, Riley has offered 2026 Folsom quarterback Ryder Lyons. Lyons went to twitter to announce the news.

Lyons is the younger brother of Walker Lyons, the tight end who signed with USC in 2023 and will be on the roster in 2024 after serving a LDS mission.

Assuming Ryder would likely do the same, this effectively makes him a class of 2027 prospect as it is concerned to when he would start playing college football.

In his sophomore season, Lyons has come on very strong. Prior to tonight, in 13 games played, Lyons has thrown for 3,342 passing yards and 36 touchdowns to eight interceptions. He has completed 68% of his passes, going 234-for-345.

Lincoln Riley was in Folsom tonight watching Lyons as well as Pittsburg 2025 safety and Trojans target Jadyn Hudson.

Folsom defeated Pittbsburg to punch their ticket to CIF Division 1-A state championship game.

Lyons is not yet ranked in the class of 2026. With Julian Lewis committed to USC in the 2026 class, this new offer may look odd to some. But with the possibility of Lyons taking an LDS mission as well as a the ability/possibility of Julian Lewis reclassifying to 2025 in the future, these two recruitments will likely have little affect on one another.

2026 Class for USC

The 2026 class is off to a hot start for the Trojans. The headliner of the class (and country) is Carrollon (Ga.) five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, who committed to USC earlier this fall.

Lewis ranks as the No. 1 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also tabbed in as the No. 1 quarterback and the No. 1 player in the state of Georgia in the 2026 class.

Also, committed in the class are local standouts, Los Angeles (Cal.) Loyola cornerback and No. 11 overall prospect Brandon Lockhart, Los Alamitos (Calif.) wide receiver Ja’Myron Baker, and Pasadena (Calif.) Sierra Canyon athlete Madden Riordan.
