USC has extended a new offer out in the 2026 cycle. This newest offer went out to Gainesville (Ga.) four-star EDGE Xavier Griffin.

Griffin ranks as the No. 77 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also tabbed in as the No. 7 edge rusher and the No. 11 player in the state of Georgia in the 2026 class.

Griffin, 6-foot-4, 210-pounds, was an early four-star prospect in the On300 rankings.

Griffin’s recruitment has blossomed since mid fall after a phenomenal, breakout sophomore season.

In 2023, Griffin totaled 52 tackles with 20 tackles for loss. The most important number though is that Griffin put up nine sacks and seven quarterback hurries. He also had two pass deflections and two forced fumbles.

To date, Griffin holds offers from Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, USC, USC, Ohio State, UAB, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Duke, Kentucky, Appalachian State, and Charlotte.

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Florida State Seminoles as the favorite to land a commitment from Griffin at 55.8%. Georgia comes in at second place with 25.6% odds.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Griffin does not yet have a public NIL valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

USC’s 2026 Class

The 2026 class is off to a hot start for the Trojans. Previously, the headliner of the class was five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, but he has reclassified to 2025. Regardless, the Trojans are the No. 1 class in the country.

Remaining committed in the class are local standouts, Los Angeles (Cal.) Loyola cornerback and No. 10 overall prospect Brandon Lockhart, Los Alamitos (Calif.) wide receiver Ja’Myron Baker, and Pasadena (Calif.) Sierra Canyon athlete Madden Riordan.

Both Baker and Riordan are expected to be ranked as blue-chip prospect and two of the top talents in California.
