There have been five commitments for USC in the past two days coming off the Trojans’ first big June visit weekend.

Modesto (Calif.) Central Catholic four-star offensive tackle Manesse Itete, Atlanta (Ga.) Washington four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain, Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, Clearwater (Fla.) four-star safety Jarvis Boatwright Jr., and Englewood (CO) Cherry Creek three-star offensive lineman Hayden Treter have all pledged to the Trojans in the past two days.

When picking up commitments, one of the first thoughts and reactions is to check the rankings to see where the class is sitting.

With eight commitments in the fold, USC is currently ranked No. 14 in the 2024 Team Recruiting Rankings. The current class is sitting at a class score of 90.782.

However, USC is sitting at No. 8 in the country in average prospect rating. The Trojans have an average commit rating of 90.05.

More on the current class for US

To date, the eight commitments in the 2024 class are Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star cornerback Dakoda Fields, Los Angeles (Cal.) Sierra Canyon four-star Xavier Jordan, Atlanta (Ga.) Washington four-star EDGE Kameryn Fountain, Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge four-star tight end Joey Olsen, Modesto (Calif.) Also, as of right now, there are 16 prospects in the class of 2024 who are currently favored in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land with USC. A good portion of them visited USC this spring and/or are planning official visits in the summer.

The Trojans are currently set to host more than 30 official visitors in the month of June, primarily scheduled for two major visit weekends. The staff will hope for similar success as last cycle when they landed 10+ of their June official visitors.

USC finished the 2023 class ranked inside the top-10 and Lincoln Riley and staff have started off on the right foot with an opportunity to repeat that feat in the 2024 class.

2024 BIG 10 Conference Rankings

USC comes in at No. 4 in the BIG 10 rankings. They remain behind only Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. It is important to note that while USC has seven commitments, Ohio State has 13, Michigan has 17, and Penn State has 17 as well.

With a score of 90.782, the Trojans are trailing Penn State, which has a score of 91.278.

USC is third in the Big 10 in average prospect rating, passing up Penn State.
