Najai Hines was a positive. Good to see him play 20+ minutes for just the 2nd time in the BE. He impacted the game in every way and without his contribution we lose by 10.An ugly win is better than a pretty loss, but man there are no positives to take from this game.
It’s not that easy when teams are packing it in and daring you to shoot.I've been saying drive the ball to the basket for the past six weeks.
It’s hard to believe. Have never seen anything like it.Offensive efficiency down to #186 on KenPom. Only one team in the entire top 100 has a worse offense (Northern Iowa). Defense up to #9 overall, the best of any team nationally that's not ranked in the top 12 overall. Wild, extreme stuff.
Please. Why don't we just give up then? Bombs away! It’s not that easy when teams are packing it in and daring you to shoot.
So 3-51 combined against UCONN, Gtown and Nova. I really think you could have the team take 51 half court shots and they might make more. It is almost hard to fathom. We had another one of these against Connecticut. We were 0-for before Williams drained that 3 to cut it to 65-64 with :45 left.
We finished 1/16. We had that 2/17 against Villanova. Goodness.
While we knew this team wasn’t stocked with great shooters, .274 as a team in 17 BE games? .303 on the season? Wozers. Maybe we get a correction to the positive.
