NO 1 seeds in Elite Eight for first time in history!

Ever an Elite Eight without a 1 OR 2 seed? Googled but can’t find the answer.

So far NO conference has more than 1 team in Elite Eight. But Big East could have 3 by night’s end. Big 12 could have 2.

Big East won national title with Villanova in 2019, 2018 and 2016. 3 times in 4 years.

In Elite Eight
3 seed Kansas State, Big 12
3 seed Gonzaga, West Coast
4 seed Connecticut, Big East
5 seed Miami, ACC
5 seed San Diego State, Mountain West’s first in history Elite Eight team
9 seed Florida Atlantic, C-USA

Friday games left:

15 seed Princeton, Ivy League, vs. 6 Creighton
Big East 3 seed Xavier, Big East, vs. 2 seed Texas, Big 12
