The problem is that Rutgers isn't considered as a destination school for top tier recruits. Most of their recruits are 3 star which means player development is the only way Rutgers defeats midlevel B1G Ten teams.Elite teams like Ohio State,Michigan and Penn State will always have the talent advantage.Adding the four west coast teams won't help Rutgers because their recruiting is far better.Winning five league games will be a great challenge.

Rutgers is my adopted team. I got booted from the Iowa board because they thought I was a Russian shill. Go figure, even though I was born and raised in Iowa and been on IA Rivals for 15 yesrs. Anyway,
Rutgers has a lot in common with Iowa. It has an insanely dedicated fan base. Iowa is the only game in town. People live and breathe the Hawks just like New Jersians are obsessed with the Knights. You have to learn to live the shitshow. I absolutely love it when the Hawks drag a team like Ohio State or Michigan info the deep water and gator roll their ***. I chuckle like a serial killer from the cheap seats knowing that the ESPN/MSM Sports NPCs will struggle to justify a team like Iowa or Rutgers kicking a blue bloods ***. Here’s to the Fing underdog may you find pleasure in the battle!

we haven’t had a serviceable passing game since 2014. That is your problem there. If your offense is 90% running with an average to bad O-line in most years you will get shut out.

I have no doubt with proper coaching Gavin would be at least an average P5 QB

Totally agree. Gavin was a 4-star qb out of high school. One of the highest ranked qbs in the class…

There’s zero reason he should be this bad at this point of his career. Again, we need a dedicated QB coach

I’m willing to grant clemency on a few shutouts in GS 2.0 as a result of the crater that CA left us in, talent-wise. But not today. He and the entire staff/team had a bad day. It happens.

Agree. 2 of the tears of flood weren’t in the big ten though. I just counted his big ten years
Flood was the bizarro Schiano. His teams could move the ball, but gave up a ****-ton of points. That 2013 year in the AAC was some of the worst defense I’ve ever seen an RU team play. Especially towards the back half of that schedule.

I’m blaming the coach that’s responsible for most of the shutouts. Or you think GS should take the blame for those when he was not here?

You blamed the only two coaches that weren’t named schiano, my man

So Greg gets a pass for making a bowl in year 4 but flood doesn’t get a pass for making a bowl in year 1? Makes sense and doesn’t smell of bias at all..
You think Flood taking over for GS is the same as GS taking over for Ash? GS got a job as the HC in the NFL for the job he did at RU. Ash got fired for being the worst P5 coach. I’m bias?
