You think Flood taking over for GS is the same as GS taking over for Ash? GS got a job as the HC in the NFL for the job he did at RU. Ash got fired for being the worst P5 coach. I’m bias?
Yes. You seem biased.

Do you think GS left Flood with a better team than Ash did? I’m bias?So Greg gets a pass for making a bowl in year 4 but flood doesn’t get a pass for making a bowl in year 1? Makes sense and doesn’t smell of bias at all..
Funny, I think you are bias for trying to compare the 2.Yes. You seem biased.

Flood was only shut out once with Greg's players? How did recruiting go for Kyle after Greg elevated the program and Flood was HC?You do realize flood was only shut out once in 2 years?
This is mostly due to Ash..but Greg as well has more shutouts/season then Flood.
"Tears" is the operative word. Freudian slip???Agree. 2 of the tears of flood weren’t in the big ten though. I just counted his big ten years
See above. Flood had Greg's players. Greg had Flood's and Ash's players. No passes need to be given, but Greg had the tougher challenge. So Greg gets a pass for making a bowl in year 4 but flood doesn’t get a pass for making a bowl in year 1? Makes sense and doesn’t smell of bias at all..
Yes, but bowl eligibility by year 4 made up for it.
Yes, but bowl eligibility by year 4 made up for it.
LolYes, but bowl eligibility by year 4 made up for it.
It was the worst game we played this year. No arguments from me. We beat ourselves with the penalties and Iowa at home is pretty good.Lol
Lol
You know we played a whole game without getting to the red zone . Pathetic

I mean flood had the least amount of games in the BIG ..and he inherited Greg’s teamsAsh. Then Greg. Then flood. But you blamed ash and flood but for some reason skipped over Greg

...I guess we'd have some posters who would be thrilled if right now Rutgers announced that Flood would be replacing Schiano effective immediately.Flood was only shut out once with Greg's players? How did recruiting go for Kyle after Greg elevated the program and Flood was HC?

In 2014, Flood took Greg's players, beat Michigan, should have beaten State Penn, got the team to a 7-5 record, and followed up with a bowl win against NC. That's pretty good and a nice hello to the world that Rutgers could play in the B1G...Too bad the wheels fell off after that and it's on Flood and the support he got as HC..Two different challenges. Greg probably had a worse roster. Flood needed to get a roster of American players used to the big ten.

The wheels started falling off in 2012 when flood wasted the talent . There were reasons a legendary poster coined the term “flood is a dud” that season. In 2014, Flood took Greg's players, beat Michigan, should have beaten State Penn, got the team to a 7-5 record, and followed up with a bowl win against NC. Flood got left with a full stable of Schiano talent. Lots different then what Schiano 2.0 had to start with. Just not apples to apples now is it?So Greg gets a pass for making a bowl in year 4 but flood doesn’t get a pass for making a bowl in year 1? Makes sense and doesn’t smell of bias at all..
...how do you think we're doing today if we hired Flood in December 2019?So Greg gets a pass for making a bowl in year 4 but flood doesn’t get a pass for making a bowl in year 1? Makes sense and doesn’t smell of bias at all..
You love to find the negative. Maybe, you can be our Negative Historian. It's like you were sitting there waiting for the game to end to post this! What nothing you can add about Flood or a puppy getting hit outside the stadium? No other Big Ten team even comes close to that mark.
...how do you think we're doing today if we hired Flood in December 2019?

He was the same as GS. The 1st PSU game in the B1G was the perfect example. Will also add the bowl game against Va Tech in 2012.I think flood is a much better game day coach,
Impossible for me to react to hypotheticals however. No clue how we’d be doing.

Outside the one year with the Fridge as his OC he wanted to play “bully ball”. The two games I mentioned was so painful, I still have PTSD from it.I disagree. I think his teams showed much greater offensive upside.

Iowa is not a bad team but the thing is: exactly when will Schiano play above his head and beat someone good but not great? It's always next year, more time, more money. I heard this the first time, too...Wisconsin is not a juggernaut this year. That was a loss, too. Another coach would've won. It wasn't unwinnable. At some point you win--or you don't.Iowa has given up 1 offensive touchdown in last 4 weeks.
What game between 2012-2015 did we win where we out-coached a .500 or better team?I think flood is a much better game day coach,

2014. - navy and Maryland come to mindWhat game between 2012-2015 did we win where we out-coached a .500 or better team?

We 'out-coached' Navy, or did we hang on to win the game 31-24? Maryland 2014 I'd say would be a yes...I'm not looking to dump all over Flood but a number of posters here seem to remember about 10 or so games during the Flood years while conveniently forgetting about 20 or more.2014. - navy and Maryland come to mind
Fair enough . But I thought that navy win was one of flood’s best since it came after the Penn state debacleWe 'out-coached' Navy, or did we hang on to win the game 31-24? Maryland 2014 I'd say would be a yes.

I do give the team credit for that as well; I think if we beat PSU we would have lost to Navy.Fair enough . But I thought that navy win was one of flood’s best since it came after the Penn state debacle
Don't they do that with previous Presidents also? You're blaming the previous coach 4 years later?

You can say that about 8-9 of the teams in that conferenceNot surprised, R.U. has been in over its head since day 1. They are in the wrong conference. They belong, at best, in the ACC. They will never be better than average in the BIG!
100% the rest is all the Greg Cult trying to deflect and prop him upI think flood is a much better game day coach,
Impossible for me to react to hypotheticals however. No clue how we’d be doing.
yupThe ongoing question that Greg apologists will never answer.
Amazing.zero wins against winning teams. Yeah I know maybe next year.

Here are the Massey Composite rankings of who our team has beaten this year: 60, 125, 61, 75, 82 and Wagner. Not a Top 50 or Top 60 team in there.Given VT and NW's records and remaining schedules, I would say it's time for the anti-GS crowd to start coming up with excuses for how those are "bad wins."
I have no doubt in the creativity...make it some good ones!
