I'll take a guess. "No wonder he was willing to leave the best baseball program in the country , with the finest facilities, history of going to the CWS, etc.! They bought him, plain & simple! No way he leaves UVA for any other reason. They probably asked him what it would take, he gave them an obscene number just to get them to 17 off, but they said, "yes"! It was the only way they could get him to move to that trailer-trash place and a program in serious decline!"

we apparently have more than a couple former players who have made a lot of money (not in mlb but in the private sector) that have gotten involved. There are apparently several that have gotten involved that previously hadn’t b/c they didn’t like Cohen. One had a son that Cohen wouldn’t look at and the kid ended up at Ark and played, so i imagine he was good enough to play anywhere.
putting things together, it sounds like things came together that brought a lot of the right people back and like the rest of us, they have had enough. I also think they are tired of the lsu’s and tennessee‘s poaching and buying players out from under us.
