He’s an excellent coach and a class act. Creighton and the BE is lucky to have him. Surprisingly he hasn’t had more success in the NCAA tourney. I can’t stand facing his teams because they are always well coached.
Looks like it’s taking everything in him to not whine about the refs.
Agree with all the positive comments about McDermott. Good coach who never makes excuses. They have been a tough out for us and it is great to finally get a W especially the way we did it coming from behind like that. I'm becoming used to us pulling out the close ones. It would be nice to have a no drama, no doubt about it win though.
Good coach but seems to recruit the same player year after year. Finesse shooters. That only gets you so far..

He’s done a remarkable job after whiffing on his high profile transfers. The guy is a great coach.
Noted this on the Trove but McD is the second coach to mention his strategy was to make Budd a scorer. Budd needs to start cashing in on that. Once his shots start to fall, the whole offense will open up.

He went to the Elite 8 and missed the FF because of a BS foul call with less than one second left.
His teams have also had some significant injuries to key players late in the season.
They’ve had plenty. And I‘d certainly say Kalkbrenner was one for about eight years.
