This is not a projection but play to date

1 Conn 4-0
Uneven effort last night but a win nevertheless

2 St John's 2-1
Tons of potential, especially on offense

3 Georgetown 4-0
Two quality wins. At Maryland and home to Clemson

4 Villanova 3-1
Haven't really beaten anyone of note, but their loss was a close one at BYU

5 Creighton 2-1
More on expectations than results. Two nobody wins and a loss by 27 to Gonzaga

6 Butler 3-1
3 blowout cupcake wins and a 2 point road loss to a decent SMU team

7 Providence 2-2
2 give me wins and 2 competitive losses to decent teams

8 Marquette 3-2
Beaten no one and lost to their only 2 decent opponents, Indiana by 23 points on a neutral court and Maryland by 7 at home

9 Seton Hall 4-0
Won't know how good until Hawaii

10 DePaul 2-2
Here only because Xavier has been brutal

11 Xavier 2-2
This year's SHU 2024-25 team?

Agree on Gtown. Saw both their Maryland and Clemson wins and the the Hoyas were impressive. Nova right now is my sleeper team. They gave BYU all they could handle and actually had a small lead late in the 2nd half on the road.

To me early the three biggest questions I have relate to Creighton, Marquette and Xavier. Each to date have played far below expectations.

Conversely the surprise team has clearly been Georgetown and to a lesser degree Nova and maybe Butler.

took Cooley lil time to make em good again
And still premature, coming from someone who was bullish on them last year and is this year. They were the only Big East team with two NBA draftees last year, including a lottery pick (to be fair, he did get hurt, but Gtown wasn't going dancing regardless). Surrounded by other talent. This is a prove it year for him.

Agree. He has a lot of resources at Georgetown and has enough talent that he needs to put up this year. Has a nice mix of scorers and athletic guys who can defend. In what looks like a weak middle of the BE, he needs to win.
