If we want any chance at winning it will be KT starting against that defensive line. Shapen will get murdered. Shapen is more advanced than KT in the throwing game and that isn’t currently really close, and the correct answer is still to play the other guy if you want any chance of winning. Shouldn’t be a hard decision but I’m sure it will be anyway and we will put the guy in that can actually move after it’s too late.

It really is weird how so many of you value this over actually hitting downfield passes.
It’s weird that you don’t value it enough. You can’t hit downfield throws when you have concrete feet and an OL that can’t protect. His advantage of being a better thrower does not exist when we play teams that we struggle to block in pass protection, so bringing it up as if it matters makes no sense. Now if the OL shows early that they can give enough time for the deep balls to develop while the quarterback doesn’t have to run for his life, then Shapen would be the best option to win. That won’t be the case Saturday though. Hopefully Lebby will have a quick hook when it becomes obvious about 3 plays into the game.

I think Taylor has potential, but it might be better if we wait before starting him. That deep throw he made late in the game showed me he has the arm that he needs to come through carefully.

Shapen to start especially the first series where we have been scoring but after that put KT in some. Keep the defense guessing. Play them both with lateral run/pass option.

So you expect our offensive coach to change his offense? Mmkay. Damn our fans seem to always want coaches to do that.

No, I expect our coach to go with the player who gives us the best chance to win the football game, and in no scenario is that a guy who can’t move behind an Ol that can’t protect. I don’t care if the guy that can’t move is the best thrower of the football of all time. That doesn’t matter if his asset can’t use their strength. KT’s weakness is much less detrimental to the goal of winning in that scenario. Common sense

It’s actually the opposite of common sense but so many small-minded MSU fans just go for the low hanging fruit (which is the running QB).

It’s not at all. If you can’t stay upright long enough to make your advantage as a player actually be an advantage then you aren’t the player that should be on the field. If Shapen is healthy enough to start he should get the nod, and if the OL proves in the first quarter they can’t block the Missouri front long enough for him to function properly he should not play the rest of the game because it’s a detriment to the team. Just like the A&M game. If they can block them then let him stay in the game. Don’t just sit there and let him get killed because he’s the better thrower. That makes no sense at all.

Were Shapen’s hand gestures to the home crown ever addressed by him or his coach? If not, why in the helll don’t we have any reporters worth a dam that can ask the tough questions? Thanks I’ll hang up and listen.

Regardless the gestures were deserved by the CROWD. They have not been kind, at all.

Kromenhoek should start. He is obviously the best QB in the team because…..he ISNT THE ONE PLAYING!!!
Is he even dressing out for games anymore? I think he sees the writing on the wall. Time for him to move on. For him & for us. Hate to think what productive players we could have signed with the money we wasted on him.
