He had some drops but also plenty of terrible throws. Just like Towles, he shows no moxie, no feel for the position.Honest question
How many drops did we have that were good thrown balls. Remember badets, but also had a pass behind him he knocked up and baker caught. (Three were screen passes)
The best QB is always the second stringer. They've moved on to Phillips.
Tough to have confidence as a QB when your Wrs continually drop balls or don't make plays for you.
Yet, loservilles qb looked like heissman candidate today
Well anytime you have three or four drives where you can't or don't move the ball at all, you should try the other quarterback, if he fails, so be it. Barker was struggling big time and some experience might have helped there, but no, this staff is going to be as stubborn to yank a q-back as they were to try another one, it was clear in the third quarter we were not going to be able to move the ball.
Barker did well today with what he had to work with. Which is the same terrible o line Towles had to work with.
Plus if you count the six drops by the receivers then he's 13-21. Not bad
Stats a bit miss leading. He had some horrible drops.7 out of 21
Watching Mich St play Penn St. Listen to the anouncers. Get the ball out in 2 seconds or you are screwed vs Mich St. It is us against ANYONE, yet we still try deeper, longer developing routes. Horrible playcalling leads to horrible QB performance. Neither QB gets any help from the coaching staff. Simply awful.
Both are bad. They trotted ol Towles out there and on cue he threw an INT.
Towles career stats speak for themselves. Move on, next!Minus a pick and relaaaxxx , Barker was no worse than Towles . Given that you play the future , Towles plays like a four year freshman .
Where are the barker pumpers?
I'm right here....
Barker will be fine if we get rid of Schlarman and get a decent O-Line. Of course, you don't understand that.
