Jaylen Johnson's 21 day window to return opens today, that was a surprise.
Hopefully this is good news. Still unsure when he'll be back, especially after Johnson’s comments during his press conference earlier this week when he said he hopes to have Johnson and Gordon back at some point this year.

Looks like another game where ol Caleb is struggling with accuracy.

Deep ball accuracy is certainly the last remaining big piece. Silver lining is that he's at least overthrowing it. I know the critique on that is that he's too worried about getting picked off

Just my thoughts but the NFL is such a boring product lately compared to IHSA and College football.
NFL on field product has been less than stellar for several years now.

High school has always been my favorite, but I have to say the amount passion and attention to IHSA games is even on life support for me. Every game from every team I have seen this year seems to have multiple offensive skill guys celebrating rather benign first downs with antics they have seen on Sundays and defensive players making a stop after a 9 yard gain and celebrating. Couple that with NIL and kids’ x accounts repping brands and any of that purity is just kind of gone now.
And college, a game I love, is far worse than the NFL now. At least the NFL has contracts and free agency periods. College has annual free agency for each player and a departure/signing period that begins in the middle of the sports marquee postseason tournament.

it’s legitimately hard to find a level of football that is exciting and worth embracing.

All momentum and BJ decides to throw 3 straight passes in a row. Forget running the ball.

Special teams, as we know, sucks and boom, it's a 6-point lead. Turning point possibly?

Found another way to win. This time on a kick return. Not sure how good they are. But, they are 7-3.

7-3 is a great record.

I dislike to being negative on the Bears but I can't think of one win this year which really makes me very proud of being a Bears fan.

For some reason in 85 every win felt unbelievably great.

I’d say the Dallas win was the closest to a complete game.

So let me get this straight. They’ve won 7 games in a season at this point for the first time in 7 years and your not proud to be a Bears fan?

For years we have been begging to be competitive, relevant, and not a laughing stock. Now that they are competitive and somewhat relevant and not a joke, you aren’t proud of what they’re accomplishing?

I swear we have the worst fan base in the league.

I told my Dad that my 5 years old said he was impressed by the win. His response? "I'm not impressed." Chicago fans suck.

Well, we can be encouraged about this team but also realize we haven’t beaten a playoff team yet.

I think the majority of us don’t know what to think of this team just yet

Two things can be true at the same time. Fans can be happy they have 7 wins and also disappointed in how they're doing it. If you ask me having the luxury to complain about how the Bears are winning is a first world problem I'm happy to have.

Take today's game, how can you be impressed by how it played out? Why is it that a feable peasant like myself realizes that all the prevent defense does is prevent you from winning but every Bears coach doesn't? The defense played great until the last 5 minutes of the game and then they played soft and let the Vikings walk down the field. I'm certain many here won't like hearing this, but JJ is not good right now, keep pressuring him into bad throws and not let him walk down the field.

The Chicago Bears are currently in sole possession of first place after 11 weeks of play. If someone had told me at the beginning of the season that this is where they would be, I would have looked to have that person committed for psychological help. But here we are.

And to go further, if anyone told me that the Patriots would be 9-2 and also in first place at this point I would have thought that to be a crazy thought. But, here we are. If someone had told me the Colts would be 8-2 and in first place at this point, I would have said no way. But here we are.

And if someone had said the Chiefs would be in 3rd place in the AFC West and in serious danger of even making the playoffs I would have thought that craziest of all. They are currently in the 9th spot. The thing that makes it worse is that teams ahead of them, Bills, Jaguars and Chargers have beaten them. So, it isn't looking good. But again, here we are.

Think about this. In one single week the Bears went from the 6th seed in the playoffs up to the 3rd spot and a guaranteed home game. And Detroit went from the 3rd spot all the way down to number eight and currently out of the playoffs. To be sure, there will be more movement as the weeks go on. But, I never pictured this. I don't mind being wrong. I'd rather see the Bears in this spot.

No one here is an NFL expert, including me. But I do know the Bears are winning the same type of games they were losing for years. Players are gaining confidence, which is critical. Yeah, some things need to be cleaned up and I do have concern about Williams. But, I will take the winning.

LakeCityNewt has been the most positive one here and that isn't easy to do with this team. But he is right. Take the winning now. For tomorrow we might be watching other teams in the playoffs. LOL! 😅 😅

They are resilient and have won a number of close games, which speaks to how a team can be 7-3 and still have a negative point differential.

This question is to all the negative Bears fans out there, what would make you happy the rest of the season? What do you want to see the Bears do to change your opinion of them?

Play a complete game. I love the winning because that's all that matters, but at no point in the last 3 games should they have needed a late game comeback.

There isn’t a person on this board that had this team with a 7-3 record through ten. Not sure there were may that thought they’d have 7 wins all season.

We all know this is a work in progress. We all know they can and will get better.

If your first thought is they are 7-3 but, it’s clear you simply cannot allow yourself to be happy. They have a ways to go to be elite but they clearly have made significant steps forward.

Think of it this way, they are 7-3 with a Secondary if guys that most likely wouldn’t be on another roster.

It’s been a chaotically fun ride. Each week is stressful. But I love seeing a team I’ve been watching since the late 60’s winning. In the end it’s all that matters - the W.

I understand this is your opinion and position regarding the NFL. And feeling disgusted about the "antics" on the field is understandable. Antics on the field are nothing new in the NFL. Forty years ago, a guy named Mark Gastineau of the New York Jets used to lose his mind whenever he sacked a QB. Of course, back then we used to think the guy was a roid-raged idiot. And we were right. Now, he would be entertaining and just another guy losing his mind.

Yeah, I don't see the point of the entire defense meeting in the end zone after they produce a take-away. Or a guy getting crazy over getting a first down. BUT, with that said, I have never had a problem with an end zone celebration after scoring a TD. That is some of the funniest stuff you will see. And that isn't new either. I remember Elmo Wright of the Chiefs (17) and his "touchdown dance" that he is said to have invented in 1969 while in college. We used to love it when he scored for KC. Billy "White Shoes" Johnson? I had no problem with them because they put points on the board.

However, if you don't find the NFL exciting, I have no idea what would excite you. Yesterday thirteen games were played. Nine of those games were decided by one score. Of those nine, six were decided by three points or less and five of those came down to a final kick that ended the game. If that isn't exciting, I don't know what is.
