De Werks La Roy!***
If you get this probably know how old you are! Best name ever, especially in the rearview mirror.

Hook and Hound
Fin and Feather

ETA: Both places on Eagle Lake in the 50's ' 60's and early 70's. During those days Eagle Lake was THE place be during deer season for men hunting deer and women hunting men. I won't try to describe the places but I'll give a hint.....sawdust on the dance floors. C'mon Vicksburg guys don't act like you never heard of em.

For those of a certain age, there was nothing better than an afternoon at The Landing, then late night at Doug's, then a late late (late) night at Mack's.

For intown places we had Choices/The District, Cotton District Grill, and Bully III. RIP to all those great places, although I guess Bully III is technically still around just with a different name.

In Jacktown, I would say Poet's was good for the slightly older crowd. Someone mentioned WC Dons, saw lots of good bands in there.

Also I would go out tonight if these were still open:
Subway
Midnight Sun
Electric Cowboy

Tried posting this earlier. Found this during our move back to the Starkville area. The old drink token from Flo's

Lot's of great places, but easily the Dock is number one (folks from all the state know of it).

For cougar hunting, the 1001 Club (County Line Road in Jxn near the Hilton - I think it's Drago's now) was by far the best. Never has there been a hotter collection of horny 30-40 year old divorcees from FNEJ in one place.
