Cash McCools, Meridian
Cash McCools. College Park shopping center. Drinking age for beer was 18. Nickel night on Thursdays. Lots of college students and navy boys. Became Lilly Langtree's during the Urban Cowboy craze then I lost track.

Holy crap, hadn't heard that name in a while. I was super young when we lived in Meridian, but that's where my parents went to disco dance. I still had shirts and maybe a hat for decades - wish I could find that stuff. I played my first pinball machine in there at maybe 6 years old.
Cannot imagine a 6 year old in CCs but whatever.

Well... I did sort of have the inside track since my parents knew the owners. I could go behind the bar and have unlimited Roy Rogers. Played pinball, pong, etc. and I even got to go up to the DJ booth and pick out records they would play. I noticed they did mostly take me only during daylight hours for some reason.

met a couple of the "ladies" while getting breakfast before a duck hunt years ago. sadly my name has nothing to do with speakers/amps. i was just a high school kicker from bfe and have had the name since aim messaging was the thing.
I was picking with you.

We used to tell folks that they were a virgin until they have been Lay-Marred. The Lamar was an incredible place to hang out on weekend evenings in the mid to late 80's. They often had the same bands that regularly played on both MSU & Ole Miss fraternity row on football weekends.
