I've still got a big glass Miller Lite pitcher that I stole from The Endzone 45 years or so ago. I bought it, drank it, and walked out the back door with itI was there… draft in a half gallon jug

We used to tell folks that they were a virgin until they have been Lay-Marred. The Lamar was an incredible place to hang out on weekend evenings in the mid to late 80's. They often had the same bands that regularly played on both MSU & Ole Miss fraternity row on football weekends. The Old Lamar
Subway was the only one in Jackson I ever got to visit. It was outstanding. For those of a certain age, there was nothing better than an afternoon at The Landing, then late night at Doug's, then a late late (late) night at Mack's.
For intown places we had Choices/The District, Cotton District Grill, and Bully III. RIP to all those great places, although I guess Bully III is technically still around just with a different name.
In Jacktown, I would say Poet's was good for the slightly older crowd. Someone mentioned WC Dons, saw lots of good bands in there.
Also I would go out tonight if these were still open:
Subway
Midnight Sun
Electric Cowboy
Speaking of good times in the Delta... Is Chevy's still open?Seems like every time I went to Rumors in Cleveland I left with a good story.

There 100% was. In the 90’sWas there a place called The Cat Walk in downtown Jackson? I vaguely remember going there when visiting friends at Hinds.
met a couple of the "ladies" while getting breakfast before a duck hunt years ago. sadly my name has nothing to do with speakers/amps. i was just a high school kicker from bfe and have had the name since aim messaging was the thing. That’s what’s funny, a truck stop with a strip club lol. Never checked out their book-reading section. Oppps, you said off the books strip club … you must have been an attendee. Your name screams some 15” Kickers with some radio shack amp, but I dig it sadly.
