Watching Arizona vs Iowa State tonight reminded me of the level of play in the old Big East. There were future NBA players all over the floor . Very few in TBET. It’s heartbreaking watching what has happened.

It could be a sign that the league is headed for irrelevance or it could just be a short term thing caused by bad luck or a few bad recruiting/NIL decisions. The SEC, ACC, and Big 10 have all had down years (in the case of the SEC and ACC, multiple down years) recently. It seems like the BE schools are committed to spending plenty, which should mean better years ahead. We will see.

Big 12 has been the best hoops conference for forever, it seems like.
