No one's gonna burst my bubble. This was a really tremendous win that virtually few here or in the media thought we'd win. As far as I'm concerned we're in the tournament and am not thinking otherwise unless something bad hsppens Sunday.

He's an alum and probably rooting for RU to get in but needs to project the appearance of objectivity/impartiality. It should be a lock with today's win but a couple of other expected outcomes still need to fall in our favor.
Sometimes you just have to try to do your job...you can't make everyone happy and you sometimes end up getting everyone mad at you. If he feels put-upon by perceived connections to RU, he should just recuse himself from evaluating and commenting on us. Gives himself 67 other slots to try to fill correctly. He'd be doing great if he got 25% of them right lol. GO RU!

Unless you are telling me, there will be FIVE or SIX new teams leapfrogging 5 or 6 other teams, there's no logic in that thought process.
Replace will be with could be.

Forgetting the fact that the last few games could theoretically impact SOS once RU loses their resume is cemented.

It comes down to the teams below us having the chance of leap frogging us and hopefully eliminate most if not all of them.

We aren’t a lock, but I am assuming I won’t be home Thursday of next week.

in fairness to Brad, as I have said before when you do this and a school like RU is in the last grouping of 8 schools in the field which we clearly are, there are alot of moving parts that make words like locks too strong when there are 7-8 schools still playing outside of the field. I think his wording was not good on his tweets to explain the situation

even I would say no Ru isnt a lock..maybe 80-85 and its because we have 4 Q3 losses, if we had 2 we are a lock. Its when you give a red flag to the committee you have no idea what they will do with it.

my issue with Brad here is he does not give much credit to beating Michigan but somehow moved Oklahoma State 3-4 spots into the field because they beat a terrible Oklahoma.

He didnt give much credit to RU winning at Penn State but somehow Penn State is his new darling because they won those 2 games last week

I think they are in with 21 wins and prob not even play in. Could be play in with a loss at 20 wins.

Charleston, NC State, Virginia, Michigan (neutral)
They are not in with UVA win. They have to win it all. Every UNC fan will tell you that. Weird take. They have 1 Quad 1.win. Now I am not big on separating teams by Quads but they literally have 1 good win all year. At home. Your view is a minority view and just looking at the name of their jersey that might not help them this year.

I think it’s his sudden change in heart and rationale that has people legitimately questioning him. Looking like a shrill for Michigan and then he was caught off guard with the implications of a dominant RU win.
absolutlely ever bracketologist was following recent bias and predicting Michigan over Rutgers and tanking RU and forgetting about body of work

Palm the worst was one of only 2 to have them in the field. Ignoring having them in violated his rule about schools 4 games over 500. He looks a fool right now

because its a clean profile a win over UVA might make them 50/50, if they get to the finals they are going to dance...beat UVA, NC State and dont forget Charleston is a good win too. If they beat UVA and NCState again that will be 5

BAC nailed it! PSU and OK State now darlings. Dominant win over Michigan doesn’t count? Win on road over PSU doesn’t count? But PSU wins count or OK State squeaking by Oklahoma counts. Brad speaks with a forked tongue. I don’t think he ever considered the possibility that RU would blow out Michigan and now he is back tracking!

Lots of ifs and still not knocking RU out. That’s the issue! As BAC above notes, Pitt should be more worried.

Sunday night everybody jumped off the Rutgers wagon. Everyone on twitter had them out. Monday they woke up and looked at the numbers and realized they were worthy of inclusion. This win should get us back in the Last 4 byes for most, and a neutral Q1 loss to Purdue doesn't hurt us in the least.

No, no, no.....that's nowhere near reality.

RU was in 80% of brackets BEFORE the start of the day today. Michigan was nowhere to be found starting the day, it was understood before the day started that Michigan needed two wins (today and Purdue) to get back into a range.

Michigan was in the field in THREE of 99 brackets starting the day. One of the 3 was Jerry Palm, which should be another reason to ignore Jerry Palm.....he's a buffoon when it comes to hating on RU.

RU punched it's ticket today.....we didn't back into a 1 point win, we won by 10+ points on a neutral court. I don't know what fans or people are looking at.
Push we just witnessed 20 minutes of defense in Chicago sine the 85 Bears

Which bracket are you looking at that doesn’t have UNC in the 1st 4 out right now? Every one I’ve seen has them there - meaning they are only a team or so out. They go up against a projected 4ish seed on a “neutral” floor tonight - a huge opportunity. The quads only matter to a point. UVA is a much better paper win than Michigan (an NIT team)

If UNC beats them you will see UNC in plenty of brackets. They def do not need to win it all.

No way. ACC isn’t The CAA. At some point quads are put away when you have as many wins as UNC would have in a loss in ACC finasl

everyone wants to not believe its not body or work somehow. I am shocked how biased some bracketologists are getting lately.

RU did just beat a team that they would have within a whisker of the field if they won today. Its a better win than Oklahoma or Ga Tech or Va Tech or Florida

We lost to 4 of those teams
Nebraska is not a terrible loss.
They’ve beaten some good teams. So has Seton Hall and Temple. Temple actually beat Houston this year.
Go look at FSU and Louisville. Those teams are dreadful. You’re being dishonest with yourself if you think Nebraska is in that category
