One thing about Mike R...he might have the best basement set-up ever (plus other good stuff in this thread)...
Hey, this blind squirrel found his nut. But I’ll be going on the DL - sprained shoulder joint from patting myself on the back.I have no interest in either of these teams, or the game, generally ... but I'm bored so I'm hypothetically going with Rice -2.5 and take the over at 42.5.
That means, for you bettors, your lock of the week is Charlotte +2.5 and under 42.5.
You're welcome.
I heard that Nebraska is something like 0-27 vs top 25 teams. Not betting it, but would tend to agree on UM.I'm no Eddie Walls, but looking at
1) Michigan -1.5 @ Neb
2) Over 54.5 MSU @ USC
Tulsa was +11.5, a day or two ago. Now at +9.5. I thought +11.5 was a slam dunk. So is 9.5.
Ark v. Memphis over 60.5 seems obvious. One team may score that.
FSU v Kent St over 55.5
Ole Miss v. Tulane over 61.5
I kinda think Western Mich +14.5 could be a sneaky good play v Toledo
Oklahoma -6.5 over Auburn
Notre Dame -25.5 over Purdue
UCF -6.5 over UNC
Troy +6.5 over Buffalo
BYU -6.5 over ECU
SHSU +39.5 v. Texas
Take those picks and roll around in your resultant millions. And if you're ignoring me and my awesomeness, you deserve your poverty and despair.

11-2. Not bad for 10 minutes worth of “work.” Skipped over 4 other games I had as “no duhs” and went 3-1 in those, but I know I can’t talk about things if I didn’t post them first, or I’ll get yelled at …
Early season college football is the best (after March Madness), because there are so many games to choose from, so many mismatches, and the books haven’t dialed their stuff in. It’s too bad I can’t actually capitalize on this.
Nice job…Geez, I saw some stats from Bet MGM Sportsbook and over 95% of the money was on Texas -39.5! I’ve seen high 80%‘s but 95%? That was a red flag, but the money was right, Texas covered easily.Tulsa W

Yeah, don't know what I was thinking there ... I never think huge underdogs are a good play ... I either think the favorite will cover, or I skip the game. There's something weird with rooting for a team that's expected to get pummeled to not get pummeled by THAT much.Nice job…Geez, I saw some stats from Bet MGM Sportsbook and over 95% of the money was on Texas -39.5! That's definitely not right. Huge underdogs can be a really good play in the right situation.... I never think huge underdogs are a good play ... I either think the favorite will cover, or I skip the game.
No play for me. I have the game at-3. Looks like a lot of shops have it at-3.5, maybe with juice on Oregon. What’s your State -3 play G?

Pretty sure Georgia hasn't covered a spread bigger than -35 for years. Using Texas as an example for this year, they failed to cover -37 and -39 vs UTEP and SJST. PSU didn't cover in any of the 3 games with 40+ point spreads.
Like, half the time.Of course huge favorites sometimes fail to cover the spread.
Maryland covers at USC bringing the B10 ATS record to 1-2 for teams traveling 2+ time zones.Update on B10 teams traveling 2+ time zones.
Oregon and USC fail to cover at NW and Purdue.
0-2 ATS so far.
Minny traveled to Cal and didn't cover, but I won't include that since it's not a B10 matchup.
Tracking the ACC this year.
BC not only fails to cover -13.5 at Stanford but loses by 10.
0-1 so far
Note: Mich St travels to USC and Stanford to UVA this week.
I didn't realize that he was a PSU alum. Way too young.RIP to Dave Sharapan, Pittsburgh native and PSU alum (88-93). AKA, the Sportsbook Consigliere.
It seemed like he was universally beloved in the sports betting community.

I think under is play tonightSo what do we have for tonight's CFB action?
I've narrowed down to I'd either go with East Carolina, or Army. And it's either the over or under. You're welcome.
Gun to my head ... and, no doubt, with my performance last week, I fully expect to be kidnapped and threatened at gunpoint for my picks in the very near future ... I'm going with o52.5. I wouldn't bet Army or East Carolina but, again, if forced, I'd probably go with Army. Or East Carolina.
This isn't my pick, but it might be worthwhile to parlay the Thursday and Friday games by selecting the over for all 3 of Army/ECU, FSU/UVA and TCU/ASU, and pick FSU to cover (least convinced of the TCU/ASU over in that grouping). I imagine that's a nice little payout and worth the likelihood it won't pan out.
5pm Eastern with Eddie Walls...
You're obviously wrong. Or right.I think under is play tonight
Wow, without hesitation. I'm surprised at his conviction. I wasn't planning to bet PSU but maybe I'll throw in a half unit just based on his assessment. He covers our game at the 11:55ish mark. Said it was the first bet he made this week.
I’m taking his advice and waiting to see if it drops to -3 -15 or something like that.Wow, without hesitation. I'm surprised at his conviction. I wasn't planning to bet PSU but maybe I'll throw in a half unit just based on his assessment.
PS. Love the t shirt

I meant to add that. I think -3 pops at some point.I’m taking his advice and waiting to see if it drops to -3 -15 or something like that.
Travel/white out is baked into the number. I gave PSU 5 points for HFA white out and I'm at -3 for the game.Even if the PSU early season performance gives you pause, and you're enamored with the superficial results for Oregon early on ... you're still looking at a cross-country trip into a white out.
And you're still looking at a PSU squad that returns the bulk of its nucleus from a national semi finisher. We haven't seen jack poop from the offensive scheme so far.
Put your whole unit in there, fella ... not just the tip.
It may be o52.5 for ECU alone. In the 1st half.I think under is play tonight
