I promise you WM welcomes and will have plenty to do with those RB's! Wonder how many times they can take a big hit and keep picking those big bodies up off the ground? Our guys are more conditioned and trained than any team in the conference, followed by EM! This is a 2 horse show with Montgomery County leading the way! Y'all can have your past, we will settle for the future!I was the first one going home from games and banging my head against the wall, but you have to be realistic. With the injuries/suspensions we had early on we were lucky we didn't get killed the first four games. We were in every game until the end of the game except for Concord. We definitely have a chance regardless of results to WM or NS, to win a state championship. WSHS and NSHS both had chances to beat us last year, with a completely healthy team. If NS fields the punt late in the fourth quarter, we are probably talking about if NS can win two in a row. The coach last year chose to play Nivens at QB to avoid the loss to WS, even though he wasn't supposed to play until the next game for throwing a computer out of a window. Coach Smith at least held his morals and took a loss holding out his two most talented backs in Emory and Bennett. He could have played them both against WS if he wanted. From what I hear we started a tackle Friday night from East Rowan that is about 6-3, 290lbs and played great! That is a game changer up front. He started the past two years at a 10 win 3a team. Not sure if KW has ever seen our fat tubby runningbacks but I guarantee that he nor WM wants anything to do with them from a physical standpoint. If we had Emory at WS we score 10+ and win that one. Long answer to an easy question is hell yeah we can turn this around and win a state championship at small 1a.
