I just wish they would enforce it but I know you like school choice n all that but anyway i mean In term of Iredell co - West Iredell would been better in football and other sports if they would enforce the lines bc i can name at least 10 guys who should have been at WI but went to other schools but lived in WIHS district

@BlueDevil1996 lol go read the Reidsville thread and u will see why open school choice would be needed just to compete in athletics. They basically bringing in all the top athletes in central NC to play there this year.

Had 1 kid move to maiden last year, from a county that's 1 ½ hours away. Wouldn't call that a transfer.

That one kid showing up brought the flames of hell down on us also. Now any new faces at maiden and they wanna open a full investigation into them.
Wow, really? That's a shame, cause I know other schools in that conference have gotten some big time transfers.
Well once House Bill 793 passes it won't matter anymore. The other people can take their undercover spies taking pictures of kids and their families and shove it where the sun don't shine.

Like it or not, it's the world we live in. Most of us are probably old school and we like playing where you grow up but that's just not how it is. Parents see it every day, kids see it every day. Kids and parents are attracted to these schools.

. They like to call the kettle black . And that's fine I have no problem with a kid going wherever they want to let's just get rid of the sneaky jumping through the hoops to make everything work deal. And just put it out in the open.
Open enrollment. NIL. Eventually legalized gambling on high school sports. Then kids throwing games for money. We’ll wake up and wonder what happened to small town Friday nights.

I totally get that and understand it but playing The devil's advocate all the things you mentioned are already going on in high school sports they're just not in the open. I've seen so much money gambled on high school sports. Schools in certain counties have open enrollment already. I'm sure somewhere along the way a kid's getting some kind of incentive to play at a certain place. Only difference is now it's all in the shadows. And for the record I'm totally against high school kids getting paid
I understand what you’re saying. But that’s like saying that because so many drivers are speeding that we should do away with the speed limit.
We are headed to community teams with no connection to academics or high school. Travel ball is an economic engine! Very talented kids will play and kids who have wealthy parents will play! The average athlete will very seldom be asked unless the local team needs bodies! Parents are selfish and think their kid will play in college!! No loyalty to communities! The college transfer portal and NIL and universal school choice with vouchers just encourage the movement!! The NC General Assembly taking over the NCHSAA just confuses this mess! Hopefully we will find leaders that will prevent this slide!!

I know a local school that would love to help him upgrade his availability to some bigger schools and maybe take his game to the next level . And secondly since all of Lincoln County is getting turf fields, does that mean over East Lincoln they had to shave down that mountain in the middle of the field

Brandon finger (QB) for maiden played so well all year but everytime he set foot on that east Lincoln field he could not throw an accurate pass for nothing. He would be on top of the mountain trying to hit WR in the valley

West hasn't been a factor in 20 years outside of when Titus Tucker was QB. West has went thru a ton of coaches in that time.
Weren't they conference co champs in 15 or so? I may be misremembering. Or was that when Titus T was QB?
