High risk, high reward prospect. If is a game changer if he can play like a Marra or Edey. He will be a non-factor or liability if like a Shagari Alleyne. He has been rocketing up the recruit ranking, so hopefully he is trending more towards the Marra/Edey level

This is how Pope turns his career around. Get 1-2 more studs from HS and finish out with portal studs and he gets another year.

I really think that recruiting comes doen to perception a lot of times and players going where the smoke goes. If a lot of players turn down a coach (like Pope the last few years) then other players might follow their lead. But it can work the opposite aswell, which is why getting a top10 player is a huge deal.

He’s literally not a negative person at all. Some of you are so insanely shoved up every coaches *** so far that you see a normal rational thinking objective person and think holy sht, what’s that!
Everyone is excited about football. I’ve been to all the games except one. I was in Norman, I will be at Missouri and home against Florida. I was watching the basketball team last night (although it’s hard to get super into it right now). Pope god an intriguing recruit, it doesn’t change anything. Pope has to win to the standards of Kentucky and the standards HE HIMSELF set or he might not make it there anyway. A lot of us personally view Pope as a dead man walking, that will change the second he does Kentucky things. He has yet, at all, to do Kentucky things.
guys like Chroix are not the problem. The problem is the results and the hire Barnhart brought in. Mark Pope is 100% not qualified to coach at the University of Kentucky. And you won’t debate it, you can’t. So let’s let Mark do something worthy of the Kentucky job and until then lay off good posters like Chroix who are just calling balls and strikes. I don’t see why that’s so difficult.

Damn Morg, I was not piling on Chroix. He had just had several posts where he was ranting with censored words, I was just pointing out it was ok to enjoy one day of a couple good things happening.
But, true to form, you come in with a wall of words, restating everything that has been stated numerous times before. Also, not so humble bragging on what a great fan you are...not for the first time.
Nobody is wanting to rehash the Pope grievances that have been stated a million times. Some just want to enjoy the day as it is. It may get better, it may get worse. Most of us just want the season to play out. It will take care of itself. I don't see why that is so difficult.
