Carlin needs to realize that for many people the game is secondary and the tailgate is primary.

Flood said today the team notices the difference when the fans are in early and when they are late arriving.

Sorry but for a prime time, nationally televised game against the #1 team in the country, there's plenty of time to tailgate and get to your seat by 8 PM.

I'm all for a Hamsterdam near the stadium for the students. Have the police oversee one area and maintain control, and get rid of the problem kids if they become too drunk. Close down Hamsterdam at 7:30 so the students have no place to go but in the stadium before 8 PM.

The problem drunk kids situation will be handled and the students will be in the stadium by 8 PM.

Am I twisted because I came back to this post to read this ^^ and am STILL getting a kick out of it?

Great comedic timing (if you can have that on a message board).
It is by far the post of the year and one that 100% of this board can agree upon...except what ever Politti screen name is.

Not twisted. It's hilarious and even funnier that it has over 40 "likes"

I believe everyone was in at the start of the Michigan State game and it will be the same for Ohio State. After tailgating for about 5 hours, most of the tailgaters I was with were ready to wrap up and head on in with plenty of time to spare before kick-off. It will be no different this time. And if it's a little cold, it may send people in a little earlier than that.[/QUO
Everyone was NOT in the house at Mich St game time. There were upper corner sections that were not even sold. Empty all game, but worse were both corner student sections 4/5ths empty until well into the 2nd quarter. Do I lie?

Legrand has been working with new technology where his mind can control his muscles ... He is going to lead the team out, then stand and walk a step at the coin toss ... Using the new technology. Brain Waves via a computer to contract the muscles needed to walk. Worst case he stands on his own.

That day seems closer than ever in light of The Big Idea, a campaign started by the Reeve Foundation to raise money to expand a study that enabled four people with spinal cord injuries to recover voluntary movements and the ability to stand through epidural stimulation. The Reeve Foundation wants to expand the study to 36 participants, but it will cost $15 million to do so.

"It's going well," LeGrand says. "We have to keep it up and get closer to that $15 million, but last I checked I believe they were over 50 percent."

Surprise factor ... Optimal effect to psyche up the team right before the kickoff to not drain any energy before the game
