RIP to an amazing ambassador for the Christian faith, one hell of a head coach, and a coach that loved his time at WVU and looked fondly on those times.

The amazing thing with Coach Bowden is he built FSU from nothing and won 2 National Championships by a philosophy of “we will play anybody, anywhere, anytime”. If he would have dropped either Florida or Miami he would have a few more National Titles. Also 14 straight years they were top 5 at years end and won 10 games (when regular season was 11 + 1 bowl game). He played the toughest schedules ever and I don’t just mean by playing both Miami and Florida when they were great programs. Florida State went to Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Clemson, and you name it when they were all top programs. Nobody does that anymore. Nick Saban plays 1 P5 OOC game and not every year and then participates in cupcake Saturday every SEC November—Same with Clemson and Ohio State.

Coaches and programs just don’t do this anymore. The coaching he did was awesome. It wasn’t just he played the tough schedules but he won!!
