Per Quadry...Know on Penn State rumors..

"Coach Knox said he couldn't really get into details about it"

Quay say Mullen says he is staying. Couple of days later, Knox tells Antoine he can't get into it.

Hmmmm.........

Also, why is Mullen using all his in home visits with the high profile kids before we even start bowl practice? The HC only gets one in home with the recruit, and with Mullen's success in closing on the recruits why doesn't he wait until January, maybe cause he wont be here in January? I know black helicopters, his post count is low, and that other **** you guys say, but if what I have been hearing since last Saturday night is true PSU is going to make Mullen a very rich man.</p>

I was saying if I would never go in the media and make a public statement about the man I worked for on his behalf. Even if Knox does know something, why would he just go spill it in the media? You could be exactly right, but if Mullen leaves, no one can say they didn't see it coming... but I'm not one to read into every little thing someone does. I'm just saying this could be an assistant coach not wanting to make a public statement about the head coach he works for on his head coach's behalf, IF he even knows anything. Seems kinda out of line to me...

Mark Hudspeth is a super recruiter. If Dan Mullen gets in on those big-time players, then I'm confident that Mark Hudspeth can keep the recruiting class together and close on some more star players.<div>
</div><div>Mullen leaving and being replaced by Hudspeth is similar to Byrne leaving MSU but leaving the Athletic Department in charge of Scott Stricklin. Byrne had no ties to our school and because of that, he needed to work his azz off to prove himself. Once he did, he gave the reins to a young guy who learned under him, is applying the things he learned and adding some of his own touches, and is a true MSU Man.</div><div>
</div><div>Hudspeth is similar in that he would be replacing someone who building this program into a powerhouse, and can take the next step with the situation Mullen gave him. Also, because Hudspeth is a MSU fan, we'll be secure in that position for the next ten years while we compete with the other SEC schools for Conference and National Championships.</div>

I'm not a recruiting guru but from mid Dec to Feb 2 about 1/2 the time is a dead period, most notably from like Dec 20-Jan 5 and then the last 5 days before signing day so need to be doing visits at some point when you can and maybe it's better to be the leader in the clubhouse. I would also think that Dan isn't being too strange with this seeing how Saban went in home on Channing Ward this past week.

Exactly, he knows he can shift the attention away by locking up these commits before he bolts. Its win win forMullen he gets the attention off the PSU rumors from our fans all the while showing the PSU fan he is some super recruiter. If I am Scott I make DAMN sureWilson and Collins stay on staff just to land Quay, Brown, Autry, and Ward

we have been getting our asses kicked the past few years by teams who beat us to the punch. Mullen might end up at PSU (he would be a +%%+#+% idiot to take that job right now) but so far he hasn't talked to them and his agent hasn't talked to them and the PSU search committee has only had one short planning meeting and didn't get into who they want. I swear some of you are high as ****.
