I tend to prefer great finishes over terrible starts though.

Sha has to juggle a somewhat flawed roster with a very thin margin for success. They are winning virtually all of these close games. It’s cardiac time, but that only means they have fresher legs to finish.

Not pretty but this team is 6-5, fourth place midway through the season and fighting for an NCAA bid in February. 10 man rotation is working and can’t argue with results.

Did anyone think the team would be here at this point?
EXACTLY. We were picked last by a landslide. Niwxwe all wantca great finish and a bid. I kniw I do. But need to acknowkedge incredible orogress done by Sha being Sha and being foolish enough to go againt the advice we give him for free.

Two basic issues an old fool like me has complained about have been addressed. Inside out for threes, and Budd concentrating on setting up the bigs. The offense has been better in the first half lately. Might be due to the opponents if course. But we still were down too many.

Simpkins has been consistent and AJ looks like he has found his game again. Hope Mike and Trey get the confidence back.

Glad this thread is winding down talking about last year's Pirate team. wishing all who depart via transfer portal good luck..... but much prefer discussing the current team.... no matter what year.
