I also think he wants to right the ship!! This will be where he retires. I believe that.
Tigers don't change their stripes. He has a huge ego and will sell out anything or anybody for his own good. He cannot be trusted. If a blue blood comes for him, he will leave. Hopefully in a better manner than before.

You do have a point there. But if he has blue bloods after him that means he was successful.

I honestly believe he can and will be successful to a point. I hate repeating myself (unlike others on here) but other than the first year which will be tough to have the depth on the roster to have a great year (hope I'm wrong), I believe he has and will be again a very good HC. I don't want to see a 3-3-5 defense and hope he doesn't hire a DC that will implement that type of a defense and that is my biggest worry about his coaching.

Many of Big 12 defenses use the 3-3-5 now. But they use it to disguise that they are switching before the snap to the 4-2-5 plus they delay blitz with the safety.

When Casteel ran the 3-3-5 he did it the way it was designed as the bend but don't break style of between the 20's.

I'm aware. I have no problem with 4-2-5. I don't like bend but don't break as it too often breaks. Just like Prevent defenses; good theory but too often backfires.

I think we’re at a point where we would sign up for blue bloods chasing our coaches instead of the inverse of begging G5s to poach them so we don’t have to pay a buyout.
