So long ago that teams and fans had to worry about Prop 48. Seems like another lifetime.
Back then academics was being promoted by the NCAA and if you couldn't reach a specific goal mandated by the NCAA in HS you were not eligible to play D1 BB for one year.
The problem was the mandated goal was measured by aptitude tests that were more geared to white America and not fair to minority races.
