I am personally too cheap and risk averse to bet, but I like following performance against the line.
A good night

I bet us half and game when I was in the city today. So split the baby. Really hard to take anything from these games against not just mid-majors but weak ones at that. At least it looks like our offense will be more consistently better than last year.

I listed to a decent portion of the broadcast while I worked. Tariq Turner says complimentary things about everyone. He also has a relationship with Sha, I'm sure, given their respective ages and how long both have been around NYC/NJ basketball. Also I believe Niagara's coach was affiliated with the SJU program at one point, years ago, so Turner probably has a relationship with him too. Take everything with a grain of salt.

Fairfield is better than SPU, at least from what I saw. Fairfield was still picked 8th in the MAAC. They did compete it seems with Penn State, but Penn State is picked last in the Big 10.

Fairfield is pretty young. They have five freshman and two sophomores with five of those seven players being part of their rotation.

They've got a few nice players -- I thought Sparks, Benjamin and Rodriguez showed fairly well.

I think they have a good shot to fare well in the MAAC.

Agreed that Sparks looks like a kid who may not be there too long. I don't know much about the MAAC except that Quinnipiac is supposed to win again and has the returning POY, because some outlet did an article on him as being a rare kid who turned out significant $$$ in the portal to stay where he was at the mid-major level. And that Gerry Mac's Sienna is supposed to challenge them.

Sparks is a senior so I concur that he will not be there for much longer. :)

Ah my bad. So if he has grad transfer options, it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up next year at a level higher.

Or I guess he could do what the Quinnipiac kid Monroe did, which is increasingly rare. Turn down legit high major "rotation player" opportunities and probably more $$$ to stay where he is and has been successful.
