Defense never sleeps

The thing that makes this ride special is the defense. The beginning of last night's game was awesome.
Unlike last year's team, they come out with intensity, and the press is special. In addition to the defense, they have responded every time the other team makes a run, they don't panic, they respond. If they stay healthy, they can play with every team in the league.

Well stated. I will take that defense over another three point shooter any day of the week.

Yes! Its a team that plays like Sha wants to play. At the Walsh games, i noticed how hard each of the three main wings work all game on D. Great footwork, fast and quick. And having 2 centers you can depend on is huge. Fisher works hard on the press and is also playing well. Loved the jumpers by Budd to start the 2nd half, hey, loved Budd's whole game. And while i am thinking of assists, Simpkins had a couple of beauties. Loved his reaction after Parker slammed home that great pass from AJ home.

I’ve noticed that this season. They get out to a lead and tent to maintain it. Whenever a team makes a run and you think the wheels are about to fall off they come up with their own run and push the lead back up to a comfortable margin. I saw someone else post this but we SHOULD be 11-0. Bad call cost is that game.

These players are experienced and coachable. They realize if they trust their sets, move the ball and play intense D, they will right the ship. So many back doors for uncontested lay ups.

We had a few turnovers last night Tuan and Parker come to mind, that were the result of too much passing and too selfless.

It was great but not sure any team will match 89 D

once again we win the pts in the paint and pts off TOs battles.

i remember where i was sitting as i listened to Mark Bryant lead us to a big win over nova in 88 and realized we are really good. december - 88-9 season. We are playing DP in nolo tourney final. had to go out that night and game is almost over. turn on sou. the sou guys seem bored, game is a blowout. Holt ****, we are blowing them out. Alaska was no fluke!

I am not saying this team is that good. but i think we are good. How good? We find out soon. Love this feeling!

Next four will tell us a lot. Two home/two away. Teams they need to beat to have NCAA expectations.

The encouraging thing about all of that, while it’s no guarantee of anything, is that the effort, particularly on the defensive side, is not just a matter of skill, but a strong will as well. That’s something which can take you places.

yes a 21 pt win when you go 10 for 16 from three is great. but will, effort, can be duplicated every game, but shooting comes and goes
