Did I just see Stricklin consoling/pumping up Bell?

That was very strange. Seems like there's some tension between those two.

Bell needs to stay off the field unless we're kicking off. I've never seen anyone less clutch than he is. Even John Michael Marlin would be an upgrade.

Mullen is in the heat of battle and just watched Bell 17 up again. Trust me, I coach and I tell my parents that there will be no talking about issues after games because games are emotional and nothing good comes from emotional conversations. I tell them to call me the next day and we can talk when we have cooler heads and can have a reasonable conversation. I'm sure Mullen was pissed and probably said something he wouldn't have if it wasn't during the game.

Exactly. Milton got an ear full. If you can't take it, someone has babied you at some point in your football career and did you a disservice. Nothing is personal.

Strick shouldn't even be on the field though.

I watched the replay three-four times. Mullen comes up tells Stricklin hands off. Verbal and Non-Verbal communication. Just wait somebody's going to repost the video. Not saying Mullen will be gone. But the body language tells the story. Ole Miss/Egg Bowl is a must win. Either way gonna be a tough post season discussion between the two. Remember Stricklin didn't hire Mullen.

Stricklin doesn't have the ball sack to fire Mullen.

During a game, no place on the sideline for a Candy ***...It can get Ntense!

The weird thing was Mullen didn't really get on to Bell as he came off the field, but he sure didn't want Stricklin talking to him.

Is there any rule against who can talk to the players on the sideline during a game? Maybe not, because Bo Jackson seems to be on the sideline of EVERY Auburn game.

Yes. Stricklin shouldn't be on the field, he's the AD. So the Mullen-Stricklin exchange only amplifies his lack of confidence in Mullen. The Team needs leadership. Hence Stricklin is there for the team.

I think you're reading too much into that. Stricklin probably forgot his place and was trying to reach out to that sorry POS kicker we have. Mullen had to remind him of the rules.

Strickland needs to get the hell away from players during a game. He is a total joke to me.

I missed it but just went back and found it. Mullen was looking for somebody and Stricklin seemed to catch his eye. He went straight for him and seems to say something to effect of get the f out of here motioning him away. Stricklin started backing up and the camera cut away. Stricklin has absolutely no business talking to players during the game.
