Talk about impressive pitching, Cam Schlittler was dominating last night for the Yanks. His fastball just explodes at 99-101. He can sink it, he can cut it and he can ride it giving him 3 dominating pitches without a good traditional breaking ball or change up.

His poise in an elimination playoff game vs the Red Sox was off the charts and his command was pinpoint. Haven't seen that from a rookie in NY in a long time. 8 shutout innings with 12 Ks and Zero Walks.

Very impressive. More so when you consider he walked 3.8 per nine innings during the regular season.

The key Anthony as you well know is control and throwing that first strike. When a pitcher gets ahead in the count, especially one who throws as hard as he does the advantage greatly goes to the man on the mound. That's what we saw in his outing and thus the domination.

If, and it's a big if, the starting pitchers for the Yankees stay healthy next year, the rotation will be maybe the best in the history of the franchise.
