If what he said about his exchange with the official is true, he shouldn't have gotten ejected. But he does have a very ejectible way about him, doesn't he? Listen to 20 minutes of any Gottlieb podcast and you'll quickly start understanding why an official might have a quick trigger with him.
He's an easy target due to his personality but he is dead right. The consistency in officiating this year is the worst I've ever seen it. Example. We got called for 3 moving picks yesterday. All 3 were good calls by the way. 0 for Butler however yet they were raising their arms & hip checking on just about every screen.
Godswill might have set the record for moving screens per minute played.
I am one who firmly believes that players deserve to be paid for this. Their talent and labor drives the engine in this multibillion dollar business of college sports.
But I also believe that this professionalism changes the dynamic around criticizing them. I wouldn't say nothing is off limits, but if you're willing to accept a half-million dollars to play, you should get your *** ripped when it's deserved.

They should get their cut of what they generate of the money. You have to face the music and criticism when you can’t make lay-ups or foul shots and play terribly, just like the pros. There used to be this notion of “kids” or “students” and “not professionals but learning” and so forth. Over.

I hope he keeps his job. If not, he might get back into the nedia. Easy to ignore him as a coach.

Lol. Life is to short too voluntarily listen to a gottleib podcast. But if after 3 fingers were amputated, i bet I would give in.
